This song is a bolero song written in 1940 by Mexican songwriter Consuelo Velázquez. I remember listening it on the radio and when I was a kid, sometimes my grandfather would play the guitar and sing the song. I am proud that it was written by a woman and a Mexican, that it became one of the most popular songs of the 20th century and one of the most important songs in the history of Latin music. Famous versions were sung by Trio Los Panchos and female vocalists Gigliola Cinquetti and Dalida. Also The Beatles and Elvis Presley interpreted this romantic and popular song.

Besame Mucho spent three months in the first place of the music charts in the United States. The song’s author became a celebrity as a romantic composer.

Enjoy each interpretation of the same song by the different artists!
