Donation Drive
Did you know...
-
That International Neighbors is — and always has been — run entirely by volunteers?
-
That we do not charge an annual membership fee, but instead rely on the generosity of our members to fund our programs?
-
That this year, we hope to raise $4,500, approximately 80% of annual expenses?
Where Do Your Donations Go? All funds raised support our community-building and outreach programs, such as:
-
Facility fees and supplies for large events like IN Days, Open House, and the Winter Welcome;
-
Weekly English Conversation Groups meeting space;
-
Communications and outreach efforts; and
-
Small stipends for cultural enrichment programming.
Our goal is to offer warm, inclusive opportunities for connection, community, and friendship — while removing financial barriers to participation.
How Do We Fundraise?
-
Member Donations: Each year, we ask “Neighbor” members to contribute to our General Fund. In the past two years, around 70 members have given between $5 and $300 — with an average gift of $60.
-
Grants: We also pursue grants when possible. Last year, a grant from the Japanese Business Society of Detroit helped support IN Days and Conversation Groups.
You Make This Possible
