Kick Off Season: September Newsletter

Hiking Group

International Neighbors is kicking off a new year with our September Newsletter and our Fall Open House!

How better to start this cycle with an overview of what we accomplished last year and the plans for this coming year? Read all about it in our President’s Letter.

Join us in welcoming women from around the world to Southeast Michigan! Our groups help women adapt to life in this country, establish friendships and promote cultural exchange. Join the party by joining one of our groups and participating in our events.

You can start signing up to join IN groups today on our website and you can learn more about each group during our September 19, Fall Open House.

Here is what to expect from the Open House:

  • Information about each of our groups

  • Group leaders will be there to greet you and answer your questions

  • Help will be available to sign up for the website and to join groups

  • Light refreshments

If you are new to International Neighbors or new to our website, you will have to register first. It is an easy process and we have instructions on how to do it in “How to Register on Our Website”

We also have instructions on “How to Join and What to Expect from IN Groups”. Make your choices and enjoy your new groups!

How about joining a discussion group? The “What’s Happening” group discusses (hold on for the drums…!!!) what’s happening in society, in Ann Arbor, in your life! Fun and friendly group, guaranteed! Find out more about it here.

Maybe you are at a point in your life where you want to lead a group. What about leading a book group? Carole, the reading groups’ coordinator is looking for you! Get more information here.

Would you like to learn how to play Mah-Jongg? Read how here.

Dale writes a remembrance piece about Barbara Krick, a long time International Neighbors member.
